Ethiopian Airlines has confirmed that all the 149 passengers on board ET302 and 8 cabin crew members have died.
According to a report by Ethiopia’s State Broadcaster Fana Broadcasting Corporation the airplane had passengers from 33 different nationalities and no one survived the crash.
The Ethiopian Airlines flight crashed a few minutes after take-off from Addis Ababa enroute to Nairobi.
A statement by the Ethiopian Airlines said that flight ET 302/10 which took off at 8:38 AM crashed around Bishoftu area (Debre Zeit).
The statement further said that the aircraft B-737-800 MAX which left Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa lost contact with the control room at around 8:44 AM.
Ethiopian Airlines confirmed that a search operation had been started.
