Activist Boniface Mwangi on Saturday shared CCTV footage of an incident where a woman attempted to steal his backpack.
He identified the woman and her partner as Mary Wangechi and Christopher Maina respectively, adding that they are wanted for theft in other restaurants too.
“I was having coffee when Christopher Maina & Mary Wangechi decided to steal my bag. I turned and found them with my bag.
“Raised my voice; they were arrested. They're at Central Police & guess what? They’re wanted for theft in other restaurants. Lost anything to them? Wako Central.
In the video, Wangechi is seen dragging a bag in Maina’s direction.
Mwangi then quickly stands up and hits the woman and a scuffle ensues.
Another man in the restaurant attempts to stop the fight but Mwangi keeps pointing at Wangechi who attempted to steal his bag.

The activist has urged Kenyans on Twitter to help him identify the man who attempted to intervene to determine whether he is an accomplice.
“Kenyans on Twitter Bureau of Investigators, l need your help to identify the man in white? Was he an accomplice? I am at Central Police Station following up the case where these two people tried to steal my backpack.

“Two more victims have come forward,” he said.
Further, he urged restaurants to invest in better quality cameras to ensure such acts are exposed and suspects are arrested.
