I want a baby daddy but with no strings attached- Akothee

Kenyan singer Esther Akoth better known as Akothee is looking to have a sixth child.

The founder and CEO of Akothee Safaris recently took to her Instagram and opened up on her intentions of conceiving again, but with no strings attached.

The vocal singer explained that the invite was purely for the baby and she does not want to date or be committed in any way to the father.

“I will also have a baby and I don’t want a commitment with anyone, I am not ready to settle down, I am still very young, but number six is a must. We the independent women, also have choices (follow me at your own risk). I am looking for baby daddy number six; we won’t date, just a baby, period. No strings attached.”

Single mother

Akothee’s request comes a few days after she vowed never to be lured into having a child she is not ready for. The ‘president of single mothers’ as she prides herself preached to fellow single mothers, encouraging them to stay strong for their sake and their children.

“The pain of being left with a child is all the same. Whether you are living in Karen, Lavington or Kibera! The sleepless nights, the pain of rejection, betrayal, stigma and society. The fear of the unknown (where will I start from? People will laugh at me) my dear, you are thinking too much.

“Those people whom you think will laugh at you have more problems than yours. You have already identified your problem and it's out, embrace it. It’s no longer a problem, it's a challenge,” she said.

Akothee’s stand is as a result of the hardship she has had to undergo after being rejected by her children’s baby daddies.

In a separate post, the Lotto crooner opened up on a painful experience where one of her baby daddies left her to fend for herself in a foreign country while pregnant.

“He told me he is 50- years-old and not in a position of falling in love with any woman. I was 9 months pregnant in Switzerland with an illegal visa from Holland. I was afraid that if I gave birth in Kenya, he will disown us.

“I was wrong. He still disowned us even in his country, so he asked me to come back to Kenya and if I insisted on giving birth in Switzerland, the hospital bill would be forwarded to the person who invited me to Europe and not him,” she narrated.

Close family member reveals Diamond’s next lover, claims party was held to celebrate Tanasha’s exit

A young woman from a wealthy family in Oman in the Middle East could be musician Diamond Platnumz’s next lover if revelations by a source close to the artiste’s family are anything to go by.

The woman from Oman is said to have expressed her undying love for the award-winning musician when he toured Oman in April 2019.

The informant, who spoke in confidence to Tanzania’s Global Publishers, says Diamond’s mum, Sanura Kassim, encouraged her son to ditch Kenyan beauty Tanasha Oketch — who was three months pregnant at the time — after she (Sanura) learnt that the musician could end up with an extremely wealthy woman for a wife if he took his chances.

In the trip to Oman, Diamond is said to have travelled with his mother, sister Esma Khan, and a family friend Juma Lokole.

While in the Arab country, the musician’s family was invited to the home of the wealthy Omani woman, who was allegedly interested in Diamond.

After the filthy-rich woman told Diamond that he loved his music, and above all, him in person, the musician’s mother is said to have encouraged her son to give the relationship a try.

“After that meeting, Mama Diamond did not want to hear anything about Tanasha,” said the source as quoted by the Tanzanian outlet.

“Personally — knowing the family too well — I am not shocked that Diamond and Tanasha are no longer an item,” added the insider.

The informant revealed that last Monday, March 2, Diamond’s family organised a party to “celebrate Tanasha’s exit from the musician’s life”. The event was held at Sanura Kassim’s home in Madale-Tegeta in Dar es Salaam.

When Global Publishers reached Sanura Kassim for comment, she hung up after being asked why she had endorsed Diamond’s break-up with Tanasha.

Kassim’s boyfriend, Maisara Shamte, however, confirmed that a party had been held at Diamond’s mum’s house, and that the event was meant to “celebrate a bachelor’s exit from singlehood”.

When pressed to reveal who the bachelor they were bidding bye to was, Shamte declined to name him.

The outlet reached Diamond’s dad, Abdul Juma, for comment.

“I have heard about the wealthy Omani woman and my son. However, I am yet to get rich details about their alleged relationship,” said Juma.

Diamond and Tanasha’s relationship “lasted 15 months, beginning November 2018 and ending in February 2020”.

It is said Diamond’s mum did not approve of her son’s relationship with the 24-year-old Kenyan beauty, and that could have contributed significantly to the break-up.

Tanasha and Diamond’s relationship yielded a son, who was born on October 2, 2019.

In what subtly revealed Tanasha’s gripe, the ex-NRG Radio host said on Instagram that women shouldn’t date narcissists.

“A narcissist is disrespectful, insensitive, controlling and disregards your feelings. Narcissists like to provoke negative emotions in others,” she said on Instagram last Sunday.

“It is like dancing with the devil. Forgive them, walk away and let God deal with their karma. I will never sell my soul, and I can back that,” she said.

The Instagram post came just a few hours after she deleted from her timeline all the pictures of Diamond Platnumz.

Tanasha Oketch is the seventh famous woman Diamond has dated since 2009.

The other six are: Zari Hassan (socialite), Jokate Mwegelo (District Commissioner), Wema Sepetu (actress), Hamisa Mobetto (video vixen), Naj (model) and Penny Mungilwa (TV presenter).

Popular comedian Nicki Bigfish was beaten by angry people when he was pulling a prank during his Ebru TV Show dubbed Jibonge.

The comedian took to Instagram to share the news with his fans saying he was beaten after a prank went wrong, and his security team took long to respond. He assured his fans that he would be back to the screens and requested them to remember him in prayers.

“Our boy today had a bad day in office... guyz manze no matter how stressful you are hapo kwa street usipige Msanii... #prank ni njia yao ya kutafuta unga wajameni... quick recovery @nicki_bigfish it shall be well kaka...” said the actor.

Fans came out in huge numbers to sympathize with him and wish him a quick recovery while others said that they saw it coming since most times, he takes his pranks way too far and annoys people.

Celebrated gospel singer pastor Joan Wairimu has finally spoken up about her failed marriage to bishop William Musyoki Mwangangi seven years after filing for divorce in 2013.

The youngest Reverend in Kenya Victor Githu has courted controversy yet again.

The young man of cloth has found himself hopping from one TV show to another spreading the good Gospel.

The story of Neema Bosibori, 20, and Stivo Simple Boy

Cyber-bullying has - of late -been rampant on Twitter, with users taking to the micro-blogging site to either body-shame or mock people. [PHOTO | K24 DIGITAL]

The management of fast-rising musician, Stivo Simple Boy, has played down cyber-bullying remarks directed at the artiste by social commentator who goes by the name Bosibori on Twitter.

On December 6, 2019, Bosibori, whose real name is Neema Bosibori, commented snidely on a picture of Stivo Simple Boy, suggesting that the Mihadarati hit-maker had attempted to spice up his looks by “applying foundation make-up on his face”.

“Simple Boy, ulipakwa foundation (Simple Boy, did they apply foundation on your face? It seems so),” said Bosibori on the micro-blogging site.

A Twitter handle, @Stivo_boy, said to belong to Simple Boy, whose real name is Steven Otieno, responded to Bosibori’s comment on December 7, 2019, saying: “Bosibori, umekam personal. We will meet some day (Bosibori, your remarks seem like a personal attack towards me. I hope we meet some day so that you tell me the words to my face).”

K24 Digital has since ascertained that the Twitter handle is not run by the artiste.

The Bosibori-‘Simple Boy’ tiff died a natural death, until recently when a picture of Bosibori without make-up made the rounds on social media, prompting a section of users to call her out for ridiculing Simple Boy, yet “she too isn’t as radiant as she looks like when she has make-up on”.

Following the barrage of backlash, 20-year-old Bosibori took to Twitter on Monday, January 13, to issue an apology to Simple Boy, 29, and everyone who was offended by her remarks directed at the artiste.

“Honestly, this experience has made me learn a lot. I am writing this to sincerely apologise if I have ever hurt anyone on this app. This was my worst moments, and, honestly, trolls do affect someone’s life,” she said in her tweet.

K24 Digital reached Stivo Simple Boy’s manager, Oyoo, to comment on the rapper’s reception of Bosibori’s apology.

“First, I would like to state that the Twitter handle that responded to Bosibori in December last year does not belong to Simple Boy. Second, it is no longer new for people online and offline to make fun of Simple Boy’s looks. He has gotten used to the negative energy directed his way, and has learnt how to deal with such. The Bosibori drama, to us, is a non-issue that doesn’t deserve our attention,” said Oyoo.

Cyber-bullying has — of late — been rampant on Twitter, with users taking to the micro-blogging site to either body-shame or mock certain people.

Some of the celebrities who have been victims of cyber-bullying include Kobi Kihara, who, in August 2018, was called out for photo-lifting and faking a lifestyle. Another one, is David the Student, who was called out for conning Kenyans living in the US. The Student would, later in August 2018, issue an apology, saying the pressures piled on celebrities to lead a flashy lifestyle pushed him to conmanship.

Radio presenter Linda Nyangweso has also a been a victim of body-shaming. In July 2019, Nyangweso took to Twitter to claim that an online user had referred to her as a “whale” for being plus-size. Kenyans on social media, however, sympathised with her, and encouraged her to embrace her curves.

Gladys Boss Shollei Finally Divorces Former Standard Group MD Sam Shollei

Uasin Gishu County Women Representative and former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei has finally divorced former Standard Group Managing Director Sam Shollei.

In a ruling delivered early last week in Nairobi, MP Gladys Shollei has been given a favourable ruling allowing her to keep the urban home in Kitisuru Estate Nairobi and the matrimonial farm in Uasin Gishu.

The ruling is said to have been a big relief to the MP who previously obtained orders barring her husband Sam Shollei from her matrimonial home after he eloped with a junior employee at Standard Group, Faith Rono.

Faith Rono worked as a reporter for the Standard before promotion by her then clandestine lover, Sam Shollei, to be the Corporate Communications Manager. Sam Shollei moved into Faith’s house in Langata after he was barred from the Ksh 700 million palatial home in Kitusuru.

Friends of Faith Rono and Sam Shollei have indicated that the couple recently had a traditional marriage ceremony which was witnessed by their family and friends in Uasin Gishu.

In the divorce suit lodged in 2016, Gladys Shollei accused Sam Shollei of abandoning the family, refusing to provide for it, denial of conjugal rights and being abusive.

The couple has managed to keep their marriage woes under wraps with few even knowing that they were going through divorce.

The affair between Sam Shollei and faith Rono was an open secret at Standard Group as the former CEO was also known to eye 2 other girls. Sam Shollei finally settled on the junior staff member who is almost 30 years his junior. Peers of the former CEO have indicated that Sam Shollei might be going through a serious mid-life crisis.

After the separation between Gladys and Sam, Faith Rono also broke-up with Sam as she had previously thought that it’s Gladys who was going to move out of the Kitusuru home. The two later came back together and are now living as husband and wife.

Gladys Shollei has reportedly been given full custody of the couple’s children and she indicated in her suit papers that she doesn’t need any maintenance from her previous husband.

Sam Shollei currently works for disgraced businessman Kamlesh Pattni as a consultant.

Gladys Shollei was controversially pushed out of the powerful Judicial Service Commission on allegations of corruption. She was elected as a Women Representative in Uasin Gishu County in 2017.

Why Harmonize Refused To Perform At NRG Wave Mombasa: SCREENSHOTS

Kenyans who paid their hard-earned money to attend the NRG Wave Festival at Mombasa Sports Club had all the reasons to be angry as Harmonize did not perform as expected on Sunday.

Harmonize was one of the big acts NRG hyped alongside Burna Boy who graced the stage in the wee hours of Monday morning that made Kenyans angry.

The afro-fusion bigwig turned a much-hyped NRG Wave festival into a damp squib after he only showed up hours after midnight without any enthusiasm to take the stage, only doing a few of his songs before abruptly taking off.

According to his manager, Jembe ni Jembe, the organizers (NRG) failed to pay Harmonize the remaining balance as agreed earlier. He cited that the organizers were collecting money from the gate so as to pay them the remaining amount. NRG had anticipated paying Harmonize from the gate collection money but it seems they didn’t make enough money to get Konde Boy out of his hotel room.

The standoff between NRG and the adamant Harmonize caused confusion with the audience suffering the most as they did not get to see him live. This is not considering the fact that they were still to get an okay performance from the African Giant.

This, however, is not the first time Harmonize has had a standoff with the event organizers over money. In 2018, the artist failed to show up on stage at the Chaget festival as the organizers did not pay him the full amount. This was in breach with the signed MoU which stated that he would be paid in full on the day of performing.
