Selena Gomez Calls Out President Uhuru for Making Empty Promises

Selena Gomez

US Pop artist Selena Gomez has called out President Uhuru Kenyatta in a video for making empty promises in the education sector.
In a video posted on her social media account, she reminds the president to improve the state of education in the country. This is after she silently made a visit to the country to follow up on the promise President Kenyatta made in 2018 at the Global Citizen Concert.
He said in a video message that funding for education in Kenya will be improved from 17% to 30% of the national budget. This promise, however, was not kept as the Ministry of Education was only allocated Ksh 473.4 billion of the Ksh 3 trillion budget (only 15.4%).
This year I pledge to you that in Kenya, our education budget will be closer to 30% of our total budget, making it probably the highest on the African continent
President Uhuru Kenyatta
After making her silent visit to the country, Selena Gomez noted that poor families and marginalized communities are yet to have proper access to education. She now urges the president and the Ministry of Education to keep their pledge and ensure that every child has proper access to education.
President Kenyatta, at the Global Citizens Festival in South Africa, promised to increase spending in education from 17% to an impressive 30% of the national budget, but we haven’t seen progress or received an update on this yet

Jalang'o Comes to The Aid of Top KCSE Student

Levis Otieno Rabar and his mother Monica Otieno during the first day at Kanga High School on Monday, January 13.

Milele FM presenter Felix Odiwuor, known to many as Jalang'o, has come to the aid of a boy who arrived for admission at Kanga High School with only two bars soap in his box.

Through his social media pages, on Monday, January 14, Jalang'o announced that he was willing to help the boy join secondary school and complete his education.

"We will do a complete Form One shopping and pay his school from Form One to Form Four," he wrote.

Further, the comedian requested his followers to send the school principal's number to him.
Following our story on Tuesday morning, January 14,  Jalang'o confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that he had got hold of the boy.

The student, Levis Otieno Rabar, warmed the hearts of many after he arrived in the company of his mother.

"I am appealing to any well-wisher to assist me in paying my school fee. I am worried that I do not have any option as my parents have no income," Levis told NTV reporters.

Otieno scored 390 marks out of 500 in the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE).

His mother, Monica Otieno, had applied for a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) bursary but failed to get help.

"I do not have any money to pay for his school uniform and pay his fees or any other necessity," Monica stated.

Tanasha Donna grinds on unknown man as Diamond watches (VIDEO)

Digehota!
Tanasha and Diamond Platnumz seem to have a very open, very nonjudgemental and very non-envious relationship if the video we have seen is an indication of the norm.

East Africa’s biggest star, Diamond Platnumz, and the mother of his latest child, Tanasha Donna were on a train on their way to Rayvanny’s homecoming concert and this was a huge deal as it also served to push domestic tourism within Tanzania so all cameras were trained at the couple.
As the festivities carried on and people became loose and actually started interacting, some music began to be played and Tanasha Donna decided to participate in a jig -or rather a grind with some random guy we as members of the public do not know.

Diamond and Tanasha to wed in 2020 Diamond finally reveals

And Diamond calmly watched as his bride to be ground on the chap…

Not only that her popularity has swelled on her Instagram page experiencing phenomenal growth this year with 264k thousand followers at last count.
The model

She recently used the platform to post images of herself sunbathing in Malindi where she is holidaying. The chocolate beauty showcased her slender frame for her followers. Thing is, she received flack and not because of the images but because of her tongue in cheek caption that accompanied the photos.

She had written;

Wah! Kenyans have no chills, even when someone is clearly joking. I like the way Rue handled the critics, she didn’t buckle to their shaming nor did she get angry, she just parried the blows like Floyd Mayweather.

Common mistakes to avoid if you have dry skin

Do you already know your skin type? No? Then maybe you should first do a simple test to know what your skin type is. That way, you will be able to take care of your skin in a much better way. Every skin type has a recommended skincare routine. If your skin is oily, a dry skincare routine might not work for you. There are also rules to be followed and things to avoid for each skin type.
For example, if you have dry skin, making these mistakes might only make it worse:
1. Skipping the moisturizer
Dry-skin
Whether you have dry, normal or oily skin, nobody should skip the moisturizer. But for people with dry skin, it’s even worse. It makes your skin drier hence exposing you to bacteria because your skin is not being protected.
2. Moisturizing when it’s dry

If you have dry skin, you should moisturize as soon as you leave the shower. Moisturizing helps in locking in the moisture so that your skin stays hydrated. To lock in maximum moisture, do not wait until your skin is completely dry. Or else, dampen your skin every time you are applying moisturizer.

3. Hot showers
Man in the shower (Courtesy)
Your skin is dry already and you are not doing it justice by taking hot showers. We get that they are soothing and relaxing, but they also strip off the natural oils on your skin.
4. Picking a random cream/lotion
Your skin may not be prone to breakouts but some products will make your dry skin drier. That said, always go for creams and lotions that are water-based and those that have been formulated for dry skin.
5. Using harsh soaps and cleansers
Harsh soaps dry the skin
If you are already struggling with dry skin, you need to choose your soaps and cleansers carefully. Very harsh soaps will dry out your skin even more. Opt for gentle cleansers that also have moisturizing properties.

6. Over-exfoliating
Over exfoliating dries the skin

There’s no debating that exfoliating is good for your skin. It removes dead cells on your skin, and it also unclogs the pores leaving you with vibrant looking skin. Even so, doing it so often especially for some with dry skin will dry your skin more.
