Kenyans on Sunday got a rare glimpse of lawyer Miguna Miguna’s wife after he shared her photo on social media much to the excitement of netizens.
Apparently, May 12 was Jane Miguna’s birthday, which coincided with Mother’s Day, and the firebrand politician spared some time to appreciate his queen.
“To my lovely wife, the mother of my children, happy birthday and enjoy Mother's Day. The struggle is well watered and fertilized by organic African Beauty! Aluta Continua! Viva!” Miguna posted on Twitter.
Until now, there has been very little information about Jane and the photo came as quite a surprise to many Kenyans.
Kenyans were immediately blown away by her beauty and many sent her birthday wishes while at the same time congratulating Miguna for being romantic.
Reports indicate that the couple has been married for the last 17 years and are blessed with five children, four girls and one boy.
Miguna’s wife and all his children live in Canada to what Miguna states is a bid to protect them from the dangers of his involvement in active politics.
In 2018, when the self-declared National Resistance Movement General was arrested following his involvement with ODM leader Raila Odinga’s swearing-in, Jane opened up about how the frantic ordeal affected her.
She narrated to Macleans Magazine, a Canada-based publication about the ordeal.
“That really worried me, because the Canadian High Commissioner was not even able to get information from the Kenyan government to assure her that they are holding him and he’s alive. Really, although she may have information but she is not giving it to me. At least somebody should be able to tell me, yes, he’s alive. But no. I was not told anything. They just say they are aware of the case and they are working on it," she stated.
Jane divulged that the hardest part for her was to hide the information from their three teenage children, after he failed to show up at home for several days, but was even more worried of them learning of the situation through social media.
She revealed that the hardest part for her was to hide the information from her children.
“Miguna didn’t want them to worry, so I didn’t tell them about their father’s arrest, but I was afraid they would learn of it from social media,” she stated.
