
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit on Friday confiscated 981 kilograms of marijuana and arrested two suspects after a raid.
The drugs, the DCI says, were found in the home of Jesse Koome in Gantuku village after acting on intelligence are worth more than Ksh.20 million.
Koome and another man, Fredrick Kanake were arrested and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
“Detectives acting on intelligence today raided the house of Mr. Jesse Koome at Gantuku village & recovered a total of 981Kgs of Cannabis Sativa worth more than 20M shillings. Two people arrested; Jesse Koome & Fredrick Kanake. To be arraigned in court on Monday,” said the DCI.
