Otile Brown and Vera Sidika have an interesting relationship. One that has had many detractors, from rapper Frasha who had warned Otile of the trouble he was courting by dating Vera.
But Otile has soldiered on even taking the huge relationship step of him and Vera finding out their HIV status.
He recently spoke to Wasafi TV where he disclosed some of the trade secrets in his relationship with Vera. He said:
IT WAS THE THIRD TIME WE WERE ACTUALLY DOING IT. THE REASON WHY WE POSTED OUR HIV RESULTS WAS TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO IT. IT’S GOOD TO HAVE A TEST AND GET TO KNOW YOUR STATUS.
What? 3 times! Is it trust issues or just being careful? Firstly, let me state this: Always be careful when having lungula. If you are going to go raw, always have you and your partner take HIV tests.
Very important. Now that I have got that out of the way, I have to say that Otile doing the test 3 times might have been a tad bit much. Why would I say that?
Vera is a very smart woman. A woman who knows how the game goes. A woman who has seen and heard things. A socialite doesn’t make it to the Maldives without being extra-careful with how she does her business which both I and KRA are not too familiar with the details.
So for Otile to think that this woman who has not only survived the Jubilee government but also thrived is not being safe, is naive.
Socialites like Vera, Huddah, Vera Sidika and Corazon have a reason to be safe. Their careers depend on it. Otile you are probably with one of the safest women out here. Yes, probably even safer than the church girls!
