Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has sent the Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee Party a message of encouragement in a rare show of solidarity.
The tough-talking lawyer, known for his habitual unsavoury utterances on social media, sent Deputy President William Ruto an encouraging message after Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri, an ardent supporter of the DP, was fired.
Taking to his Twitter, the self-proclaimed general asked the DP's camp to be vigilant and not to surrender in the wake of Kiunjuri's suffering.
"To William Ruto, Mwangi Kiunjuri, Moses Kuria, Kipchumba Murkomen and Jubilee Party Orphans: Don't fall into Jaramogi Oginga Odinga trap post 1969 Kisumu Massacre. Don't surrender," wrote the embattled lawyer.
He asked the deputy president's lieutenants to mobilise peaceful protests in order to defeat corruption and get justice.
Members of the DP's camp have been in the forefront demanding for Miguna's unhindered access into the country, further cementing the theory the lawyer could join them once he comes home.
Former Agriculture CS Kiunjuri was sacked by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday, January 13, and his docket handed to Peter Munya.
The vocal CS, who is believed to have been shown the door owing to his association with Deputy President William Ruto despite Uhuru's warning against early politicking, said he was not surprised at all.
The president reshuffled his Cabinet on Tuesday, January 13, and besides firing Kiunjuri, he swapped Foreign Affairs CS Monicah Juma with by Raychelle Omamo.
Monica will now be in charge of the Defence docket while Omamo was moved to Foreign Affairs.
