Nation reported that Adan Galhai, who is also known Urisha Galhai, had been arrested by KDF soldiers on Friday but he got away.
A police report was seen by Kenyans.co.ke revealed that Galhai, who is suspected to have links with deadly terror group Al Shabaab, was also posing as a security officer.
“He wanted to enter the stadium on Friday and when searched, his National Identity Card and another Identity Card written as National Security were recovered from him.
When he was being questioned about the same he escaped,” the statement reads in part.
Galhai was nabbed on Saturday morning when he went back to the stadium.
However, a middle-aged man who had accompanied him managed to escape.
The officers who are handling the case revealed that he had lied to them that he had spent the night at a nearby hotel.
According to the statement, Galhai converted to Islam in 2014 and has been living in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
