Harmonize’s manager Mjerumani has issued a statement after his first song after leaving WCB “UNO” was deleted from YouTube.
Mjerumani explained that YouTube had to hide the video, after Kenyan producer Magix Enga claimed ownership of the song, as they investigate the copyright claims.
“Tumepata Taarifa kutoka Youtube Kwamba, mtu mmoja ambae Inasemekana Kutoka Nchi jirani Kenya,Ametuma Barua pepe kudai umililiki wa wimbo wetu Pendwa #UNO. Aidha kwa taratibu zao YouTube Ni Lazima wauweka Private wakati wakiendelea na taratibu za Kujirdhisha juu ya madai hayo,” read part of the statement.
She also called on Konde Boy’s fans to stay calm as they sort out the issue and try to have the song returned.
“Tunachukua Nafasi hii Kuwaomba Mashabiki wetu na wapenzi wa Harmonize,Kuwa Watulivu Wakati jambo hili linashughulikiwa. Aidha Tunaimani Wimbo wetu Utarudi baada ya muda sio mrefu. Tunawashukuru kwa sapoti yenu. Mungu Awabariki.Asanten sana,” she said.
Her statement came hours after Harmonize’s latest song UNO got deleted from YouTube on copyright grounds.
Kenyan Music Producer Magix Enga had petitioned to the YouTube management to have UNO pulled down, with allegations that Harmonize copied the hook and beats used in his song with King Kaka Dundaing.
Enga had given the former WCB signee a 7 day ultimatum, to act accordingly.
Like nothing happened @harmonize_tz Gat some free beats for you bro... I’m giving you 1 week take down the song otherwise.. Natoa mwenye let me put it in Swahili so that you can understand what I’m trying to say.. It took me a day to come up with the Vibe G you get #BeatKing254 🇰🇪 This sh* has happened before but this time things will be different... I’m not going to allow that to happen not in 254,” wrote Magix Enga in an earlier post.
