Lulu Hassan and her husband Rashid Abdalla serve daily couple goals.
The Citizen TV presenters, who are known for their mastery in the Swahili language are also role models to young couples nationwide.
Rashid and Lulu are a perfect match made in heaven and always shower each other with praises.
Well, yesterday in an interview, Rashid talked about their marriage. He said it isn’t perfect but they work out things in case there’s a problem.
He said;
I THINK THE BEST ADVICE TO EVERYONE OUT THERE IS, IN ANY RELATIONSHIP IF YOU BELIEVE THERE’S ‘KUKOSANA’ (FALLING OUT), THAT RELATIONSHIP DOESN’T EXIST.
He continued;
IN A RELATIONSHIP, YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THERE’S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FALLING OUT AND HAVING DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU. KATIKA MAHUSIANO WATU HUTOFAUTIANA SIO KUKOSANA. MKIKOSANA MPENDANE, MKITOFAUTIANA MNAJENGANE NA MREKEBISHIANE.
Abdalla added;
SISI TUTATOFAUTIANA, TUNAJENGANA, TUNAREKEBISHANA LAKINI HATUKOSANI. [LULU AND I HAVE OUR OWN DIFFERENCES, WE BUILD EACH OTHER BASED ON THAT AND WE ACCEPT CORRECTION AND MOVE ON. WE DON’T FALL OUT. WE BUILD EACH OTHER AS WELL].
The father of three has been in the media industry for more than a decade and he’s without a doubt the best Swahili presenter around.
He advised those who look up to him to be humble, saying;
DON’T GO FOR FAME. DON’T FIGHT FOR THAT TITLE OF THE BEST ARTISTE, FIGHT TO GIVE PEOPLE THE BEST. LET THEM DECIDE IF YOU’RE THE BEST. SO TO US, WE’RE NOT THE BEST ANCHORS IN THIS WORLD, WE ALWAYS TRY TO GIVE THE BEST. ITS VIEWERS WHO WILL DECIDE WHO IS THE BEST.
Adding;
IF YOU LIVE WITH THE MENTALITY THAT YOU WANT TO BE THE BEST, YOU’LL NEVER BE. GIVE PEOPLE GOOD STUFF AND LET THEM DECIDE IF YOU’RE GOOD OR NOT.
He went ahead to tell those venturing in journalism to follow their path and not;
…JOIN THE MEDIA INDUSTRY BECAUSE YOU’VE HEARD THERE’S MONEY OR BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE FAMOUS. JOIN BECAUSE IT’S YOUR PASSION AND TRY DO YOUR LEVEL BEST.
