The past two years have seen Tanzanian songstress Nandy grow musically in leaps and bounds.
The ‘African Princess’ as she is also known, has made a name for herself as one of the most exciting female artistes in East Africa.
One person who has undoubtedly helped fuel Nandy’s brand in Kenya is Willy Paul. The two have collaborated on two hit songs together.
The first, ‘Njiwa’ cemented her brand among Kenyans fans. The second, ‘Hallelujah’, was released last year and has established her as a tour de’ force in the industry.
Willy and the svelte singer spoke about their working relationship when we interviewed them.
The two were on the red carpet during Nandy’s album launch that took place at the Golden Ice Bistro on Sunday.
The rumour mills have been going crazy with claims that the two are dating.
Was that true?
Willy clarified that the relationship between the two was that of a ‘brother and a sister’.
What had made their working relationship so good? Willy responded that it was the great chemistry that the two shared.
Nandy also revealed that she decided to launch her album in Nairobi because she considered it her second home.
She also admitted that she has learnt a lot from her frequent collaborator; like his love for his work, his diligence and his desire to keep improving. The video of the interview is below:
