A family in Voi, Taita Taveta county has heaved a sigh relief after their kin who went missing two months to his wedding day was found alive.

James Mwamburi who was reported missing on Monday, October 7, was found in a hotel along Voi-Mbololo road after the family and police officers initiated a search mission in the area.
Mwamburi told his family members that he was abducted by three people who took him to an unknown destination and kept him in a dark place.
According to his father, Swaleh Nyongo, the groom to be disappeared shortly after he escorted some businessmen who had visited their home to buy cows.
"Some men came to my homestead to buy cows and my son escorted them after the transaction, that was the last time I saw him," said Nyongo.
Mwamburi was expected to use the proceeds from the transaction to meet dowry expenses and other costs.
His mother, Mercy Waleghwa, said they had combed all the possible areas within Voi including hospitals, morgues and police stations without success.

The family was forced to temporarily suspend wedding plans and embark on a mission to track the missing groom.
Mwamburi was expected to tie the knot with Dorcus Wairimu in December 2019 and plans were in top gear when he went missing.
Upon being found, the groom was taken to Voi Referral Hospital for medical attention and mental assessment pending investigation into circumstances that led to his detention.
Mwamburi was working as an electrician and mechanic in Mwatate, Taita Taveta county.
