The police arrested controversial pastor James Nganga of Neno evangelism church, again.
Pastor James Nganga spent Thursday night at Central Police Station in Nairobi. He was arrested for allegedly defrauding a businessman Ksh.3.6m
“He had agreed to pay but he has been dragging to honour that agreement so we decided to process his tile and take him to court,” said Starehe police commander Stanley Atavachi.
The man of God obtained the cash from a trader and after the matter was reported to police, he didn’t deny.
He was in court today to take a plea.
This comes after he was in court again for threatening Linus Kaikai.
In a video that went viral, Pastor Nganga warned the Citizen Tv boss, “Separate preaching na hii sarakasi za news anchor, nakwambia tu, kijana.”
HE CONTINUED, “I AM TELLING YOU LIKE A CHIEF GENERAL COMMANDER, YOU HAVE TO STOP THAT; IF YOU DON’T STOP, YOU WILL FACE THE CONSEQUENCES…”.
The televangelist denied the charges and was released on Ksh 200,000 cash bail.
Pastor Nganga appeared before Resident Magistrate Justus Kituku at the Kiambu Law Courts on Tuesday.
Court documents detail the charges.
The two counts are:
“UTTERING WORDS THAT CONSTITUTED AS THREATS TO KILL LINUS KAIKAI.”
Adding, “While referring to himself as the Chief General Commander, using words that indicated or implied that it was or might be desirable to bring death or physical injury to the Citizen TV journalist.”
