TV actor Kone Nouhoum was buried hours after his death at Kariakor Cemetery on Thursday.
Kone who has been hospitalised for over five months after a freak accident at the Naivasha geothermal site, Nakuru County.
He was a popular face on TV after being cast for his biggest role as Reagan on Kenya’s award-winning soap opera, Selina.
Kone was an optimist, his profile on Instagram, his bio on Instagram read:
“Dum spiro spero. “While I breathe, I hope”.”
The phrase in Latin is a modern paraphrase of ideas that survive in two ancient writers, Theocritus and Cicero.
His colleagues and fellow cast members also paid tribute to him.
Pascal Tokodi wrote on his Instagram, “To everyone who was there for him since his accident, God bless you. Thank you for your kind heart. Let’s remember his family during this difficult time and let’s cherish the memories Kone gave us.
I’ll miss you brother, every day. Watch over us.”

Adding, “Last week, my uncle, this week, my brother. I pray that you cherish every moment and every person in your life, you never know when it’s the last time you’ll see them . Rest Kone, I’ll remember your loyalty, intelligence and most of all, your caring heart. Rest brother.”
“The first time I stepped into Kone’s house, we were young and ambitious. That day, we shot a pilot episode (in his house) which we were hoping to be picked by a channel then we would be superstars! Hehe. The series was never picked. Today, I step into his house when he is no more. Those channels are today writing about him…I wish life would give Kone one more take…one more take.”
Isaya continued, “Thank you all his friends, family, fans and all who were there for him. I know he would want you to celebrate his life instead of mourning him. Let’s celebrate Kone because even heaven is liiiittttttt today. Heaven is lit!!”
Award-winning actor and filmmaker Gerald Langiri also said his piece in remembrance of Kone.

Kone, who is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kimwati and son, was buried according to Muslim customs at Kariokor cemetery.
The burial was attended by family and friends among them Nairobi County women representative Esther Passaris.
Others who attended the burial at Kariakor included Celestine Gachuhi, Alex Khayo, Abel Amunga, and Gloria Songoro among others.
