Bomet East MP Beatrice Kones’s son has died after he allegedly committed suicide at his home in Kiamunyi estate in Nakuru town.
Collins Kipyegon was rushed to War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru shortly after attempting the incident.
ccording Standard Digital, a doctor who sought anonymity said he was having difficulties breathing and upon arrival, was taken to Intensive Care Unit but died while undergoing treatment.
“He was rushed here early morning for having taken poison and doctors did all they could do to save his live but unfortunately he died,” said the medic.
It was not clear what prompted his action but a close friend to the deceased who sought anonymity said Kipyegon had disagreements with his wife.
“He has been having marital issues which we suspect drove him to commit suicide,” he said.
Nakuru Deputy OCPD Daniel Kitavi declined to comment on the incident saying he had no details about the matter.
