I have accepted Bahati with his playfulness – Diana Marua

Bahati and Diana Marua have spoken about what they believe is an onslaught against them. During an interview with Kiss FM on Thursday night, Bahati said he was unhappy with most of the stories about him in the past few weeks. He said:

THE PEOPLE WHO ATTACKED DIANA ARE THE PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO ATTACK ME SO THAT I COULD RESPOND TO THEM…

He said he has chosen not to respond to criticism, adding he doesn’t respond to “small brands”. Chito asked him whether he felt the need to defend his wife from the accusations? He responded:

I HAVE THE TRUTH. IN MY POSITION, I HAVE A RECORD LABEL. THIS MEANS I AM NOT MAKING MONEY OUT OF IT. IT’S IMPORTANT KENYANS KNOW.

Bahati said he has been using his own money to help artistes at EMB records.

Chito asked Diana about the age gap and whether she thought some of the things her husband did were childish? She replied:

FIRST OF ALL, BAHATI HAS A VERY INTERESTING CHARACTER. HE IS VERY PLAYFUL, WACHE NISEME HIVO. MANY PEOPLE CAN MISTAKE HIM FOR QUOTE UNQUOTE “UTOTO”.

Bahati agreed, saying he was “mtoto wa mama”. Diana added after his quip:

I KEEP ON TELLING PEOPLE THAT I LOVE BAHATI FOR WHO HE WAS. HAKUANZA HII UTOTO VILE TUME SETTLE DOWN. YOU UNDERSTAND? WE USED TO PLAY, WE USED TO HAVE FUN, WE USED TO…HIZO VITU ZOTE. FOR ME THAT IS HIM. I HAVE ACCEPTED HIM WITH HIS PLAYFULNESS.

Diana defended her husband’s playful character by telling the host that she had had to encourage her husband that not everyone would understand him.
