The man initially said he was an employee at Secure Africa - a company that deals with logistics. He was staying in a house owned by another suspect, Joseph Waswa, who has been charged with impersonating President Uhuru Kenyatta.
A licenced gun was found by detectives.
Seven suspects arrested for using the President's name and receiving money over a land deal were on Wednesday charged in a Milimani court and released on a cash bail of Sh100,000 each
According to the charge sheet, Waswa, Duncan Muchai, Isaac Wajekeche, William Simiyu, David Luganya, Gilbert Kirunja and Anthony Wafula were accused of obtaining Sh10 million from Akif Hamid Butt.
The seven are said to have falsely pretended to be in a position to sell to Sameer Africa a piece of land LR No. 10090/118 situated in Milimani area, Nairobi.

The fake gold recovered by detectives.
Waswa runs charity initiatives, owns a fleet of four choppers and enjoys the high life. He seems every inch the big-hearted philanthropist. Not any more.
The unmasked 33-year-old, who mimicked President Uhuru Kenyatta's voice and swindled tycoon Naushad Merali, is a controversial and scandal-ridden fake millionaire.
Because of his many magnanimous programmes to help the needy and support community projects, and his inspiring lifestyle, there seemed no reason to question this billionaire status. Kenya is full of them.
Projecting the ideal that so many aspire to, Waswa was untouchable. He took villagers by storm as he tested his choppers and luxury cars.
