The place where Obado rushed to immediately after arriving in Migori town

Embattled Governor Okoth Obado on Saturday morning arrived in his home county of Migori after which his aides immediately rushed him for a church service at Upper Hill SDA church for prayers.

The County boss did not speak much during the service but called on the congregation to pray for him.
Pray for me because I am in a difficult situation, but also remain united and peaceful,” Obado said.
On Monday made his first return to his office following a five-week stay in state custody as he faced charges linking him to the murder of his slain girlfriend Sharon Otieno.
There was a flurry of activity at Migori County headquarters as staff and members of the public lined up to welcome Obado to his office.
The County chief held several meetings with senior executives in his administration where he was briefed on the developments made during his absence.
The county headquarters had been unusually quiet as most of the staff kept a laid back approach as they waited to hear the fate of the governor.
He was released on Thursday night after which he stayed on in Nairobi for a day before returning to Migori on Saturday morning.
Obado’s personal belongings were moved out of his palatial home in Rapogi and taken to a rented office near Migori town where he will be staying.
The bail conditions set by Justice Jessie Lesiit block him from going to his home as it is less than 20 kilometres from Homa Bay county boundary.
