A Principal Secretary from Mt Kenya region has bought 20 BRT buses, sparking speculations over his source of income and his political ambition.
The civil servant has since invited applications for drivers and conductors strictly from his home county, in what political observers have interpreted to be a plot to endear himself to the electorate.
The investment-running into hundreds of millions of shillings-have also set tongues wagging over the youthful senior government official’s source of income.
The new development has caused jitters among politicians who have interest in the county’s top job come 2022.
