Migori Governor Okoth Obado finally secured his freedom from the Industrial Area Remand Prison.
Obado spend the night in remand jail even after he was freed on a Ksh.5 million bail on Wednesday.
His lawyer said there was an issue with one of his sureties and having no time to handle that before the close of business, decided to deal with it on Thursday morning.
The governor spent the better part of the day sorting out the issue and was at last released on Thursday at around 6pm, according to his lawyer Cliff Ombeta.
