BFFs forever! Kanze Dena surfaces at Lulu Hassan and Rashidy Abdalla’s baby’s ceremony (Photos)

Media power couple Rashidy Abdallah and Lulu Hassan are a perfect match made in heaven. The two not only brighten our screens when on air together but also serve us couple goals, their relationship always is outta this world.

Rashidy and Lulu have been in the industry for more than 10 years and they have managed to maintain high discipline unlike some of their colleagues.

Well, the couple who welcomed their third child last month, celebrated 40 days recently and top media personalities most from Citizen TV attended the event. Lulu Hassan’s best friend Kanze Dena, who was appointed as State House Spokesperson and head of the PSCU by President Uhuru Kenyatta was in attendance. Others included; Monica Kiragu, Anne Mawathe, Wilkister Nyabwa, Faiza Maganga, just to mention but a few.

Lulu took to social media to thank those who made it to the party.

The ceremony is done to unveil a child’s face 40 days after birth.

Celebration of 40 days is typical in Muslim cultures for a mother to rest after delivery for 40 days . The mother does not do anything but care for the newborn baby; relatives and friends come to help her. The mother takes over her household duties again and appears outside the house on the 40th day, when celebration is traditionally held. The follow-up-visit is scheduled for this day so that the visit can incorporated into the celebration. The visit has 3 purposes:

1. To assure the health of the mother;

2). To check on the child’s health

3. To assist the mother with contraception.

According to some Muslims, it is not compulsory upon women to stay in house for 40 days specifically after giving birth. The tradition to remain in house after birth is due to health reasons and is not an obligation of Shari’ah.
