Kenyan singer Avril Nyambura has for the first time opened up on the disease that delayed her from getting pregnant.
In an interview with the Parents Magazine, the mother of one who spoke on her struggle to conceive revealed that doctors discovered she had fibroids when she got pregnant.
The In Love hit maker confessed that she had been trying to conceive for years and when it happened she was super excited and grateful.
Delayed pregnancy
Avril further stated that doctors then said that the fibroids could be reason it took her that long to get pregnant.
“I had two fibroids when I was pregnant and the doctors speculated that that could have been the reason it took me longer to conceive,” said Avril.
She also revealed that she drove herself to the hospital when labor pains kicked in.
Avril who welcomed her first child in April 2018 in the interview added that she would reveal her son’s father at a time when she will feel it is okay to do so.
She however said that he is supportive and they are in very good terms.
