
Across the nation, Kenyans congregated in different places to witness the 2019-2020 crossover. They flooded churches, entertainment joints, recreational centers among other public places. Others would choose to welcome the new year in their homes.
The celebrations were marked in many ways, typical of them all being explosions of fireworks, designed to draw the year “2020”.
In Nairobi, moods were all exciting, fireworks in major centers taking up space. Fireworks, for instance, filled the air in Two Rivers Mall marking the birth of 2020. That was also scenario in the Upper Hill area, the UAP towers being the fountain for the fireworks.

In Nakuru, residents were treated to electrifying performances by major gospel artists in the country. The crossover was hosted at the ASK Showground in Nakuru, and Afraha Stadium. Gospel musicians who graced include Rose Muhnado, Emmy Kosgei, Guardian Angel, Solomon Mkubwa, and Evelyn Wanjiru.

In Kakamega, the action was at Bukhungu Stadium where Gospelstr Rufftone was hosting a couple of other players in the game. The stadium was packed till morning when the new year celebrations were in momentum.

In Kibarani Mombasa the residents could not be left behind in the exciting New Year extravaganzas the whole nation was swept in. Fireworks were the order of the night!
The feeling was emblematic of the whole country people converging in towns and cities to get the new year in. Leaders, political and religious, joined the locals in their places to celebrate. Governor John Lonyangapuo of West Pokot alongside his wife joined locals in Makutano to usher in 2020.


In Nyeri the celebrations were also marked with fireworks, locals joining each other in churches while others doing it in pubs.
