Mercy Kyallo has come to the defence of her younger sister Betty Kyallo following a revelation by celebrated NTV journalist Ken Mijungu.
In a lengthy post, an angry Mercy came to her sister's aid following a social media post shared by Betty concerning her daughter with Dennis Okari, Ivana.
Taking to social media, the celebrity's sister painted yet another picture of the investigative journalist saying that he only visited his daughter once.
According to her statement, Okari is a stranger to them and abandoned his daughter during her critical condition prompting Betty's Somali lover to take charge.
"Dennis, I could see your handwriting everywhere. Last time we met, you took over my night shift and offered to a sleepover with the baby. We thought to ourselves as a family that you are a stranger you and Naomi were both strangers to us but it was your right as a father. A kind gesture and we respected that. But after that you left, not a phone call or a message," wrote Mercy.
She went on to attack Mijungu for exposing their secrets in public saying that he also sent Betty abusive messages asking her why she did not thank him and Okari.
"Ken, you cannot force a thank you. Maybe that is why the old Swahili Saying “ Tenda Wema nenda Zako”. You wrote her a disrespectful message asking her why she hasn't thanked Dennis and you in her post, really? Looks like you are still seriously keeping up," she added.
Mercy further opened up about the ongoing care for her niece which costs them KSh 3000 daily saying that Okari and his friends were not aware of the program.
"Do you even know about after-care that is still ongoing? We had a home nurse and had a physiotherapist visit every day at KSh 3000 per day. You found us at the ICU having gone through the toughest," she said.
Mercy also made it clear to the public that Okari had not seen his daughter's face in years and left them in the ward before she could regain her health.
"Dennis, you had not seen your daughter’s face in years. You left us at the ward before she could even regain her cognitive abilities never to be seen and heard from again. If you would like to talk about it do it on your platform. Respectfully," said Mercy.
She went on to thank fans of the Kyallo's who have kept on praying and wishing Ivanna well in her recovery journey.
