When Imran Okoth was declared winner in the November 7, Kibra by-election after garnering 24, 636 votes, there was a beautiful woman standing beside him, his wife.
Anne Ithara-Okoth has been seen standing next to her husband throughout the campaign period and vote-tallying exercise.
However, it was while delivering his speech shortly after being handed his certificate by returning officer Beatrice Muli that Kenyans noticed something unique.
To a section of Kenyans, Ithara is a complete look alike to former KTN news anchor Esther Arunga due to her striking resemblance to the ex-media personality.
But hey, the two women just resemble each other in physical appearance and probably slightly similar characters but are not related in any way.

Just like Arunga was a bubbly individual before she attracted controversy, so is Imran's wife who could not hide her jubilation when her husband was declared the winner of the by-election
“I am very, very happy that my husband has won the parliamentary seat. I lack words to describe the exact feeling." an elated Ithara was quoted by K24.

"However, I would like to express my gratitude to Kibra people for electing Imran. They are the bosses, and without them, then this win would not have been a win.” she added.
Screenshots of her, circulated on social media, with several online users convinced she had a relation with the former news anchor.
The late Ken Okoth's brother garnered 24,636 votes with Jubilee Party’s McDonald Mariga coming in second with 11,230 votes.
