I voted for Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017! Miguna Miguna reveals on JKL

Miguna Miguna

Miguna Miguna shocked many during his appearance on Jeff Koinange’s show, ‘JKL’  this week after confessing he voted for Uhuru Kenyatta.
The admission came as a shock to many given that he was the same man that swore Raila Odinga as the People’s President at Uhuru Park on January 3, 2018.
Koinange and Miguna had an explosive conversation that covered many issues that were hitherto unknown about.

There were a few things he said that would have shocked most Kenyans. One of them was that he had voted for Uhuru Kenyatta on August 8, 2017.
He said he did so because he had felt betrayed by former Prime Minister, telling Jeff,
‘RAILA DISAPPOINTED ME BADLY. WHEN I WORKED AS HIS ADVISOR, HE BETRAYED ME, HE KICKED ME TO THE CURB AND BETRAYED KENYANS’ ASPIRATIONS.’
He added that despite his vote for Uhuru at the general elections, he had no qualms about swearing in Raila as the people’s president to protest the electoral injustice that had happened.

He also told Jeff that they had tried 3 previous times to swear in Raila but they were all unsuccessful.
He said that the first one was supposed to take place inside Jimmy Wanjigi’s house and was to be streamed live but he claimed that the NASA leader chickened out.
He says another option mooted was for them to conduct the ceremony in Tanzania and Ghana whose presidents were close friends of Odinga.
Miguna continued that 2 days before the ceremony at Uhuru Park, the team had already sworn in Raila at his home in Karen, which was filmed by Raila Junior.

He also told Jeff that Raila only came to Uhuru park after seeing the huge crowd that had turned up.
He added that the original plan was for Raila to tell the crowd who had gathered to stay put, for however long it would take, so as to make President Uhuru Kenyatta accede to their demands.

The former Nairobi county gubernatorial candidate claimed that Raila scuttled that plan by hastily taking the oath and rushing to his car.
