Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandag
An analysis of CCTV footage has revealed how the elder brother of Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago died.
A report by The Star indicated that John Kinyor, who is believed to be an employee of Kenya Pipeline Eldoret depot, lost his life in an accident.
Eldoret East CID Boss Ali Kingi on Wednesday told journalist that a review of CCTV showed that the 56-year-old man slipped from the first floor and fell into an area where a lift was to be installed.
Kinyor's body was discovered on Monday at a hotel that is under construction at Chepkanga area in the outskirts of Eldoret town.
Police had earlier suspected that he had been murdered elsewhere before his body was dumped at the incomplete building.
Moiben Deputy County Commissioner Lilian Langat earlier stated that the police had launched investigations into the possible murder.
She further disclosed that several people had already recorded statements in relation to the matter.
The body of the deceased was later collected by the police and taken to Eldoret Hospital mortuary.
Several leaders, including President Uhuru Kenyatta, sent their condolences to Mandago following the death of his brother.
