Sandrah Chebet Koech popularly known as Msupa S has admitted to contemplating suicide because of a relationship.
In an emotional interview with Radio Jambo, The Kalenjin rap queen who rose to fame after her Watajua Hawajui collabo with Khaligraph Jones narrated the circumstances that led her considering committing suicide.
According to Msupa S, she recently split from her baby daddy of six years alleging abuse and cheating.
“When it gets to a point you don’t respect a woman, I disrespect you too,” the singer said.
She went further to explain that her ex-boyfriend and manager was very jealous.
“He saw messages on my phone and thought I was cheating. He used my social media account to post about my personal life in an attempt to embarrass the person he alleged I was cheating with and this made me feel really disrespected.”
The All the way up hit-maker explained that her ex-boyfriend’s family was against their relationship as well and made no effort to protect her from them.
“In our last argument, I was out for work and he kept calling me to lecture me on the rumours doing rounds on social media about me and we couldn’t agree. He resorted to taking my child away to his parent’s home."
After getting back home and finding her child missing, Msupa S made her way to her in-law's to try and come up with a solution but her ex-boyfriend got violent prompting her to leave without the child.
“Because of the difficult time my family was going through, I thought of committing suicide and indulging in drugs.”
According to the rapper, the thought of her child’s future without a mother refrained her from committing suicide. She has since moved on but often visits the child.
