Acting State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena threw herself a thanks giving party, months after she landed her new job.

In a series of photos shared on social media, the former Citizen TV Swahili news anchor's party was attended by close friends and family members.
In June 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that he had appointed Kanze, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU) and would also double up as deputy State House spokesperson.

In the appointment, Ms. Dena would take leadership of in core communications teams which included digital, messaging, research, branding and press.
A few days after her appointment, Kanze was then promoted to Head the PSCU following Manoah Esipisu’s appointment as Ambassador to the United Kingdom (UK)
