It was the will of God for President Uhuru Kenyatta to become Kenya’s President, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga now claims. The opposition Chief also told reporters that he had done a “tremendous job” in advocating for equality in the handshake initiative.
The 74-year-old said: “I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that He wanted my brother Uhuru Kenyatta to become president.” “That’s why he’s there and I think he has done a tremendous job in supporting a lot of the things that people of faith really care about.”
His comments echo similar remarks made by the Kikuyu elders, that Uhuru’s appointment was ordained by God. “You look at the big 4 agenda alone, I think that will be one of the greatest legacies that the president has after his ten years in office” Odinga added.
