Chief Justice David Maraga on Thursday paid a visit to former President Daniel arap Moi at his Kabarak home to condole with him following the death of his son.

According to pictures that have surfaced on social media, the former president seemed to have received a number of guests in his home today.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is also seen receiving Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Peter Kenneth at their Kabarak home.

They were also accompanied by Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua as well as Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua.

These leaders’ visit comes a day after Deputy President William Ruto was allegedly redirected to visit the home of Jonathan Moi as opposed to having to personally condole with former president Moi.
It is claimed that DP Ruto intended to visit to Moi but his team was not allowed to.

Instead he visited the home of the late Jonathan Moi in Kabimoi village, Baringo County.

On Tuesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta personally conveyed his condolences to the Moi family, in Kabarak.

Kenyatta was received by Senator Gideon Moi and after signing the condolence book, Uhuru went into a private meeting with the retired president.
