Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was on Monday among the delegates President Uhuru Kenyatta sent to deliver a message to Hungarian President János Ader.
Mr Owino was seen accompanying National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi in meetings with the Hungarian leadership.
Disclosing details of the meetings, Speaker Muturi outlined that he had delivered President Kenyatta's special invite to the Hungarian head.
"Honoured to meet the President of Hungary, H.E. Mr János Ader this morning. I delivered to him a special message from President Uhuru Kenyatta extending to him an invitation to visit Kenya in January 2020," the Speaker relayed.
Bids at UN and UNESCO
The delegates also negotiated a deal that will boost Kenya's bid to join the UN security council.
"I have informed him that Kenya values Hungary as a strategic partner in our development Agenda. Kenya will offer reciprocal support to Hungary in our bids for positions at the UN security council (for Kenya) and at UNESCO (For Hungary)," Speaker Muturi stated.
On Sunday night, the MP together with Uasin Gishu Woman Rep Gladys Boss Shollei hosted a round table discussion with Kenyan students studying in the European nation.
