Winnie Odinga showed her savage side when a bully-ish Kenyan decided to drag her father Raila's name in the drought situation. In an explosive Twitter exchange, Raila's last born called out Twitter user BenjI Ndolo in brutal fashion.

What followed was laughs from Kenyans who found it quite humorous that a politician's daughter could emerge with such hard online tackles. Raila's last born daughter, however, maintained people should take issue with Uhuru's government instead of her father

It goes without saying that politicians and their offspring, being public figures, are usually expected to carry themselves with some degree of decorum especially online.

There are, however, some lines which ordinary Kenyans tend to cross when it comes to criticising leaders online and sometimes, the level headedness of these leaders tends to disappear.

This was the exact predicament ODM leader Raila Odinga’s daughter Winnie found herself in when one Kenyan attempted to drag her father’s name in the disheartening drought situation in the country.

Scenes of Kenyans starving to near death in Turkana and Baringo counties have left Kenyans not only heart broken, but somewhat bitter with both the Turkana county government and national leaders in general.

Being such a sensitive topic, Winnie was taking no prisoners when it came to trolls who attempted to use his father’s name as a form of comic relief in the worrying drought situation.

It all started when Raila’s last born took to Twitter to decry the situation in Turkana as she shared the pain of many Kenyans who understood the magnitude of the situation.

“Absolutely Atrocious! A failed state. Those who voted for this government should demand immediate action and solutions,” she wrote.

“Tell your dad, he is in (government)” he tweeted.

This typically did not ride well with Winnie, who took Ndolo’s sentiments quite personally.

“Tell your dad he should have pulled out,” she retorted to the surprise of the online audience.

What ensued was a back and forth between Raila’s daughter and sections of people who actually concurred that Raila has a share in the blame.

An unmoved Winnie, however, maintained that it was Kenyans who voted in Uhuru hence any issue of national concern should be taken up with him.
