TV journalist Ken Mijungu's baby mama Lina Lynn has come out to accuse him of assaulting her over their daughter.
According to the mother of one, the well-polished news anchor together with his wife beat her up on Friday, March 1, afternoon at the Jabali Christian School where she had gone to see her daughter.
Taking to her Facebook account, Lynn claimed Mijungu stole their daughter from her parents' home four months ago and kept her away, even denying her the opportunity to just see the baby.
''Kenyans help me get justice, Ken Mijungu and the wife beating me up at Jabali Christian school where I had gone to see my child (sic). They took my baby four months ago and have since been denied the rights to see my own baby. I need justice, Kenyans help me,'' she wrote.
We reached out to both parties to ascertain what really transpired between them.
Speaking in a phone interview with this writer, Lynn claimed the news anchor had stopped supporting her in terms of upkeep for their daughter after a small misunderstanding in a move that saw the latter move to court where he was given custody of the baby awaiting a pending court case over the same.
She claimed Mijungu has been using his influence as a public figure to frustrate her with a myriad of issues such as buying off court officials and heads at their daughter's school.
The distraught mother alleged the anchor and his wife arrived at their daughter's school, took photos and assaulted her while at it before being helped by staff at the school to secretly whisk the baby away.
She said Mijungu illegally took their baby from her parents' home and took her to Nairobi where he has been "hiding" her.
On the other hand, the anchor while speaking to us accused his baby mama of grave deeds including abandoning their daughter at her parents' home for about four months.
Mijungu denied Lynn's claims that he stole the baby from her parents, arguing that he was forced to take their daughter after learning she was suffering.
According to the NTV anchor, his baby mama has always been using their daughter as bait in a bid to fleece him, something he had to stop following the lady's incessant misbehaviour..
''She used to lie the baby is sick, I could send money but only to find out she was not,'' he said
Mijungu claimed his baby mama was just bitter she could not convince him to get back with her and that is why she was trying to taint his image.
He added that he initially stopped financing Lynn's life after it emerged she was moving around calling him a deadbeat dad yet he was footing everything in her household despite the fact that they were not together.
''She used to tell her friends I do not do anything yet I was the one doing nearly everything for her for the three years we've known each other. Some of her friends used to insult me over that, so I told her I will fold my hands and let the friends help her,'' he added.
The journalist admitted indeed drama ensued at their daughter's school but was all sparked by his baby mama.
Mijungu, however, claimed he was not moved by the incident since the court had already given him custody over the baby as they continue with the case to determine who should have the minor.
The news anchor claimed he does not have bad blood with Lynn and would gladly let her have their baby should the court rule in her favour.
