Jahmby Koikai has been through hell and back but she is not giving up any time soon. In fact, the bad days give hope to fight for another day.
After seeking the help of Kenyans, she has made sure to document her journey from day one up until this day where she went through her life-saving surgery.
March 2018..(my life-saving surgery at the CEC)
Hey Fam. Endometriosis Awareness Month. This was my chill spot every single day. I dreaded this walk. Firstly, it’s always hard for me to get out of bed when I’ve gone through surgery. The raw excruciating pain is not anything I can describe. But in America, it doesn’t matter. You walk right after surgery. I never understood why they would make me walk right after surgery and every other day. Well firstly, this is to prevent pneumonia, blood clots and improve mobility.
Going through the healing process after surgery is clearly the worst part for Jahmby but that will not stop her from fighting through the pain.
Those 3 boxes were connected to my lungs. Woe unto me when those things would drain and I’d be walking. Lord, Jehovah Jireh. The pain.
My message to you all is to keep speaking about Endometriosis, Thoracic Endometriosis(endo in the lungs, diaphragm, chest cavity) it spreads everywhere. Fight for women to get a cure.#endowarrior #endofighter#endometriosis
Last week she sent out a plea to her followers to help her tag American TV host Steve Harvey, for her to appear on his show and raise awareness on Endometriosis. Her first project did not get to him but she promised she will do another video up until she gets his attention.
We do hope this will be the last for her so that she can focus on a complete sure healing process. Jahmby will forever be a referral when it comes to the strength of a woman.
