A businesswoman embroiled in a land dispute claims a police officer wants her dead.
Priscillah Nyambura Njue has written to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji to institute investigations into her claims, insisting she has evidence against the officer.
Nyamburasays hse has lost faith in the police to probe her claims into a matter involving their “untouchable” colleague working in cahoots with other people claiming ownership of the same parcel of land along Mombasa Road.
According to the elderly woman, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been trailing her since 2016 when an attempt to abduct her was made at her Kilimani house.
“Two suspicious people, a man and a woman in a car tried to force their way into my compound but were repulsed by my security men.
“I later learned they had been sent by the officer to abduct me in order to get gold of documents related to the land,” claims Nyambura.
The second attempt to harm her was made two years later when she was allegedly poisoned at a popular café in Lavington where she had gone to have lunch on November 28, 2018.
She lodged a complaint at Kilimani Police Station after a doctor administered first aid.
The woman claims those eyeing the land have hatched a plot to kill her and are using the officer to execute the mission. She shared her tribulations with DCI boss George Kinoti.
The mother of two is convinced the officer who has since been transferred to Isiolo from Nairobi is determined to dispossess her of the five acre piece of land near SGR terminus in Syokimau.
Nyambura claims her family acquired the land in 2000 through their firm, Agro Complex (K) Limited.
Their brother Mingi Waweru was appointed administrator of the property on behalf of other siblings.
She was given power of attorney over the land following the sudden death of Waweru who collapsed in 2008 after leaving a city pub.
Nyambura claims after the death of her brother, six individuals also emerged with tittle deeds, staking claim on the land estimated at Sh500 million.
The ownership dispute is in court but that has not stopped the officer from trailing her, according to Nyambura who lives alone since her twin daughters are studying in Britain and United States of America.
“Sometimes I am forced to flee the country and seek refuge either in the UK or USA where the cold weather is not friendly to my ageing body.
“I don’t want to live in perpetual fear and that’s why I have decided to ask Haji to look into my plight,” says Nyambura.
In the letter to the DPP, Nyambura listed six individuals including a cousin and former house help, she claims are on the officer’s payroll to spy on her.
“My life is in danger and that’s why I have decided to go public over this matter after police declined to act.
“I want action taken against the officer and all those people he is using to stalk me. I am tired of living like a slave since I hardly leave the house due to fear,” she states.
