Why It Took Joyce Omondi 6 Long Years To Make TV Comeback After Quitting Citizen TV

Joyce Omondi used to host Rauka gospel show on Citizen some six years ago. For starters, she met her husband Waihiga Mwaura while working at Citizen TV.

Joyce quit the Citizen TV show in 2013 to pursue a Masters degree, she had however already fallen for Waihiga by the time she was leaving Citizen TV.

Well, the gospel singer-cum-TV presenter recently made TV comeback after six years hiatus. Joyce landed a job at Switch TV where she hosts a new show dubbed ‘Full Circle with Joyce’ which airs every Monday to Friday from 8 am -9 am.

So, why did it take Joyce such a long time to make the comeback? She revealed why during an interview on Switch TV’s Chat Spot. He said;

“It’s been 6 years since I got back on air and the show I’m doing really is a dream. Because I’ve been looking at how I can have a platform to talk with young people. To do all these other light fun things but still infuse my faith and this show I am doing, is it. There have been opportunities that have come along but I personally believe that it’s very important to understand that not every opportunity is the right one. And its wisdom, it is discipline and its self-love and value to know which opportunities you should take and which ones you should leave behind.”
