June Ruto, daughter to Deputy President William Ruto is now a Kenyan diplomat representing the country in Poland.
Despite the politician's family refuting earlier that June did not secure the plum job, a tweet by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma confirmed the rarely seen woman is a charge d’affaires in the European nation.
Monica who is in Poland to attend Warsaw Summit which focuses on security in the Middle East, was received by June at the airport upon landing.
"I arrived in Warsaw, Poland to attend the Warsaw Summit which will be looking at security in the Middle East, taking place tomorrow. Was received by June Ruto, Charge D’Affaires," she tweeted.
Though her appointment has been kept a top secret both within and without the Jubilee government, sources had confirmed June joined the foreign affairs ministry in 2014 as international relations and trade officer.
June holds a Masters degree in International Studies from the University of Queensland and a bachelor degree in diplomacy from the United States International University.
