Size 8 and DJ Mo have been through the wringer the last few weeks. The couple have experienced something that many marriage experts say can have a devastating impact on a marriage, the loss of a child.
Julie Gichuru and her husband experienced this first-hand when the couple lost their child Mwaura when he was a year old. She had explained in the past:
IT WAS INCREDIBLY HARD AND I NEED TO SAY NOW THAT OUR BABY CHOKED ON PUREED FOOD, AND TO ALL THE MOTHERS AND FATHERS OUT THERE, THE BIGGEST CAUSE OF CHILD DEATH UNDER ONE YEAR IS CHOKING. CHILDREN CAN CHOKE ON LIQUIDS AND THEY CAN CHOKE ON SOLIDS, WE DIDN’T KNOW THAT AND IT HAPPENED.
She added:
I YEARNED TO SLEEP AT NIGHT BECAUSE IN MY SLEEP HE WOULD COME IN MY DREAMS, I WAS HOLDING HIM AGAIN. IT WAS A TRAUMATIZING TIME AND I ACTUALLY SAID TO MY HUSBAND WE ARE NEVER GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD AGAIN I CAN’T GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN.
And although the Muiruri’s might have had a miscarriage, their sense of loss cannot be understated. DJ Mo had already opened up about it, revealing that his wife was five weeks pregnant when the misfortune happened.
And his wife has now shed light on the issue herself.
She wrote on her Instagram page:
