Jacque Maribe had a September and October that I know she would want to forget as soon as possible. But it seems that a semblance of normalcy might be returning to the Citizen T.V anchor’s life after anonymous sources who wish to remain unnamed said that she resumed work at the station yesterday.
Jacque according to the source, she will essentially hold her old responsibilities but without going on air to report.
This means her job description closely resembles that of a news editor who will compile and arrange stories that will run on air.
The reason why Jacque will not be seen on air is that it was one of the tough conditions for her release on bail. Justice James Wakiaga released the Citizen TV anchor on an Sh2 million bond and barred her from reading news or conducting interviews on matters related to the case.
Justice James Wakiaga said Maribe is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He rejected a request by the prosecution to remand Maribe on grounds that she is a person of influence who can interfere with the witnesses.
Justice Wakiaga noted that the prosecution had not satisfactorily demonstrated how Maribe is a flight risk and that she had co-operated with the court and has shown no signs of intimidating the witnesses.

Jacque and her former fiancee Joe Irungu are the prime suspects in the murder of Monica Kimani that took place at Lamuria apartments in the Kilimani area on 19th September.
