A video has emerged showing infuriated passengers confronting a traffic police officer for allegedly receiving a crime.
According to unconfirmed reports, the angry passengers were travelling along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway when they witnessed the officer taking a bribe.
The crowd confronted the officer who tried to defend himself to no avail.
In the undated video seen by SDE, the commuters can be heard asking for the officer’s identification number as he tried to fend them off.
“Utatoa ama hutoi?” one of the passengers is heard asking the officer.

According to the National Corruption Survey 2017 conducted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), the Kenya Police was ranked first among government departments and agencies perceived to be most prone to corruption.
The survey was conducted between September 18 and October 24 2017, sampling responses from 5,977 households.
