Nacada Director Vincent Mwasia Mutua aka Chipukeezy has come to the rescue of ailing boxer Conjestina Acheing after a public outcry.
Chipukeezy, who is a member to the Board of Directors at the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA), has promised to help the former boxer get medical attention.
Through his social media pages, the comedian disclosed that he had spoken to Conjestina’s family and he would pick her from Kisumu on Friday.
“I’ve talked to the family and we have agreed I go pick her tomorrow in kisumu and take her to the Best Rehab/mental in Kenya.. As NACADA We will take care of her,” shared Chipukeezy.
Chipukeezy's act comes hours after Kenyans from all walks of life, shared a video of Conjestina flexing for Sh50 from an identified Kenyan.
The 40 year-old boxer was one of the most recognizable faces of female boxing in Kenya who gained a reputation for her fierce fights that attracted huge crowds countrywide.
Achieng’s career came to a sudden halt after she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and subsequently admitted at Mathari Hospital in 2012.
Achieng participated in 27 fights and won 17. She lost four times, and drew six.
