Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has finally revealed why her fiancé Joe Irungu shot himself in her bedroom.
According to the mother of one, Irungu shot himself on the chest after they had a serious disagreement in her house in Lang’ata, on Thursday September 20.
A report by Nairobi News said an affidavit sworn by lead investigator in the case, Maribe said that on the night of September 20, Joe Irungu attempted to commit suicide at around 1am in the morning, by shooting himself.
“That according to the statement from the Respondent (Jacqueline Wanjiru Maribe), the said Joseph Irungu alias Jowie on the night of 20/21st September 2018 at around 1am attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself on the left chest following serious disagreement between the two,” read a quote by Nairobi News.

In the affidavit however, the reason for their disagreement was not disclosed.
Joe Irungu was later on arrested in connection with the murder of Monica Irungu after her neighbor identified him as the last person who was seen at her house at Luciane Apartments Kilimani.
Ms Maribe was also arrested on Saturday evening.
They were both charged in Court and have been detained for 10 days as investigators conclude investigations.
