Months before TV girl Jackie Maribe got engaged to her lover, Jowi Jowie in Nairobi, one of her friends Kirigo Ng’arua had a nasty altercation with the now murder suspect.
SDE reports that Jowi snooped into Maribe’s phone and found Kirigo warning Ms Maribe about the behaviour of her lover.
Its now clear that a couple of Maribe’s friends were opposed to her getting hitched to the mercenary citing safety concerns.
On this particular day, Joe Irungu confronted Kirigo and demanded that she stops meddling in his relationship.
He then threatened to smash her head in if she continued talking to Ms Maribe about him
“Kirigo was the only one who saw through Jowie for who he was. There was a time she had a public altercation with him because Jowie found out she was telling Jacque he is not worth her love. Jowie threatened to smash her head, Ms Ng’arua was terrified and since then her relationship with both Jowie and Jacque became coloured going forward.” the source claims.
Interestingly, Kirigo was not present at Ms Maribe’s public engagement although Zumari understands that she was out of town.
When she resumed, a Kenyan tabloid reports that she congratulated the couple to avoid looking like she was jealous of their relationship.
When she was reached for comment, the former News Anchor was curt and said she did not wish to comment on the matter
Who is that giving you that information? Then ask them their thoughts as well. I don’t want to comment about that.” Kirigo asked.
Understandably, no one wants to rub Jowi the wrong way owing to his connections and line of work.
Joe and Maribe are set to appear in court to answer to charges of murder.
