KTN News has come on the spot after the station refused to air a sensitive investigative story by award-winning journalist John Allan Namu.
KTN News had in an advertisement announced that it would run a three-part series produced by Namu through his company - Africa Uncensored.
The story touched on the money laundering and corruption by South Sudanese government officials who looted from their country and invested their money in Uganda and Kenya.

Come Sunday night when the story was supposed to air, KTN News did not publish the story and no explanation was offered.
Namu from Africa Uncensored later explained through his Twitter handle that the Standard Media Group-owned TV station had declined to publish the story until certain parts were deleted.
According to Namu, KTN News did not want to run the sensitive parts until they received a comment person who was adversely affected, but Africa Uncensored explained that they had on several occasions sought comment from the said individual.
“They were largely happy with the story, but wanted to remove certain parts of it as they sought comment from an adversely mentioned person. We disagreed, given that we had already sought fair comment from this person,” Namu said.
“So we differ with the decision by @KTNNews to hold the story, but we respect it. They have their platform, and we have ours. We feel that we have met the threshold for it to be seen by the public, and for the public to judge it on its own merit,” he added.
The investigate series has since gone viral with netizens watching the piece on African Uncensored’s Youtube channel.
