Governor Okoth Obado sent out a voice recording to residents of Migori County urging them to shun ODM through their party flag bearer Ochillo Ayacko for the upcoming October 8 senatorial by-election.
In the recording doing rounds on social media, Obado has asked the voters to come out in large numbers and cast their ballot.
"All people should come out and vote...don’t sleep at home with your votes," He stated according to The Star.

He further added that his current situation is purely political and has been blown out of proportion.
Obado further appealed to the residents to support Federal Party of Kenya aspirant Eddy Oketch shunning ODM whose ticket he ran on to clinch his current governorship.
This came one day after ODM Leader Raila Odinga stated that justice should take its cause in regards to Obado’s case.
Obado was arrested in connection with the murder of Sharon Otieno and remanded for 11 days after bail application was denied.
Migori Senate by-elections were called for after the death of the County’s Senator Ben Oluoch on June 19 this year.
The elections are set to take place the same day he is scheduled to appear before Justice Jessie Lessit for his bail application hearing.
The governor is also accused of conspiring and financing for the murder of the slain student and her foetus.
He, in the recording, also asked his supporters not to be fazed by his woes because the political game would end soon.
