Yes, you read that headline right! The man who serenaded Jacque Maribe in public has never introduced her to his parents!
Ati what! How in this Kenya of ours where family is an important part of the marriage process did this happen? Mimi sijui!
This was revealed by Joe Irungu’s parents when they spoke to NTV. This was their first media interview since their son was made the prime suspect in Monica Kimani’s murder that occurred last month.
In the interview, the parents explained that they had visited their son a day after the murder in Kijabe Hospital where he received treatment for a bullet wound.
They were later shocked to find out he had been arrested as the prime suspect in Monica Kimani’s murder. When they later on visited him in Muthaiga Police Station, Jowie told them that he did know the deceased as she was a former classmate.
They also astounded many listeners when they divulged that they had never met their future daughter-in-law! In the interview with NTV, Jowie’s father said:
TULIONGEA NA YEYE (MARIBE) KWA SIMU LAKINI HATUJAWAHI ONGEA MOJA KWA MOJA. ALINIAMBIA ANAHAMA WAKAE PAMOJA NDIO WAPANGE MIPANGO YAO PAMOJA.
Jowie’s mother had some kind things to say about her son, saying that he would help drop Maribe’s son and also drop her at work. She said:
HATA JACQUE MWENYEWE SIJAWAHI MUONA HAPA, ALINIELEZEA UKITAKA KUMUONA ANAKUAGA CITIZEN TV ANAKUJANGA FRIDAYS.
This story just gets crazier and crazier!
