Jacque Maribe might be wishing she had never met a certain man by the name of one Joe”Jowie” Irungu. The reason for that all stems from the fact that he is the prime suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani.

This along with the fact that his presumed involvement in the murder has also roped her in. Hindsight is 20-20, a phrase that Jacque might be pondering considering the precarious situation she finds herself in right now.

After the public spectacle that was her engagement proposal to Joe, it has emerged that there had been someone in her life who felt that Jowie was not the man for her.

That person was her father, Pastor Mwangi Maribe a preacher in Nairobi’s Buru Buru estate. According to local tabloid the Nairobian, her father was not happy with her romance to Jowie. He had even gone to her home in Langa’ta to ask her to kick Jowie to the curb.

One of the reasons for this might be what relatives to Jacque consider to be Joe Irungu’s poor character. The relatives thought he was:
BOASTFUL, CONTROLLING, MANIPULATIVE AND WITH ANGER ISSUES.
The father was also concerned that they knew very little about Joe’s family. This still did not deter Jacque as she still pursued the relationship.

According to the Nairobian, Jacque who is the last-born of 3 girls is said to be her fathers favourite. But a sore point for her father according to a close family friend who spoke to the Nairobian is her choice of lovers.

The source added that her father had been very concerned with the men that Jacque had introduced to him. And it seems that his paternal instinct might have been spot on, sadly for Jacque.
