Police now after Jacque Maribe

Police now after Jacque Maribe

Police are now looking for Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe after her fiancé Joe Irungu was arrested for the alleged murder of Monica Kimani.

Reports indicate that homicide detectives investigating the murder wanted Ms. Maribe to record a statement to explain several issues that have come up during their investigation.
According to an investigating officer who spoke to the Standard, efforts to reach the Citizen TV anchor including through her lawyers were futile and she did not report to her workplace on Wednesday.
She is not responding to our calls but we have left a message for her, requiring her to come for further clarification. Even her lawyer says she is not responding to calls,” said the officer.
This comes after Maribe’s fiancé was arrested and arraigned in a Kiambu Court where he was charged and police allowed to detain him for 10 more days as investigations continue.

In their probe, police discovered that the car Joe Irungu was driving when he was spotted at Monica’s house was registered under Jacque Maribe.
Joe and Maribe are also said to have given contradicting statements to the police on what happened on the morning Joe was shot.
Joseph Irungu was arrested on Tuesday as the primary suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani who was found dead in a bathtub with her throat slit, at her Luciane Apartments home.
